Our Credentials
License, insurance, manufacturer training, bonding — everything you should verify before any contractor starts work on your property. We disclose all of it openly because reputable contractors have nothing to hide.
Every NJ home improvement contractor is required by law to carry an NJHIC license, general liability insurance, and workers' comp coverage. Many don't — and the consequences for the homeowner can be severe: voided warranties, uncovered liability for crew injuries, no recourse for defective work. Verifying your contractor's credentials is the single most important step you can take before signing a contract.
Below is full disclosure of our credentials, plus instructions for how to verify them independently. We encourage you to verify every contractor you're considering — including us.
6 credentials, fully verifiable
NJHIC License
NJ Home Improvement Contractor #13VH13970900
Issued by the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. Required for any residential contractor performing more than $500 of work. Verifiable at njconsumeraffairs.gov. The license number appears on every contract, every COI, and every permit we pull on your behalf.
$2M General Liability Insurance
$2M per occurrence / $4M aggregate
Standard coverage required by most NJ property managers and condo associations for contractor work on their properties. We can name your property, management company, or condo board as additional insured on request — COI typically issued within 24 hours of award.
Workers' Compensation
Full NJ WC coverage on all crew members
Every installer on our crew is covered by NJ workers' comp — required by law and protects you from liability if a crew member is injured on your property. We don't subcontract to day-labor uncovered crews; our installers are W-2 employees with full benefits.
Manufacturer-Trained Installers
Andersen, Pella, Marvin, Provia certified-installation training
Our lead installers have completed manufacturer-specific installation training from the major window manufacturers we install. This matters because manufacturer warranties often require certified installation to remain valid — uncertified install can void a 20-year warranty on day one.
Commercial Bonding Available
Performance & payment bonds on request
For larger commercial projects (typically $50K+), we provide performance bonds and payment bonds through licensed surety partners. Most commercial GCs and property managers require bonding on projects over a certain threshold; we have ongoing relationships with surety underwriters for quick turnaround.
BBB Listing + Better Business Bureau Standing
Listed business with active complaint-resolution record
Listed at bbb.org with our license number, address, and active complaint-resolution history. We respond to every BBB inquiry within 7 business days. Customers can look up our standing before signing.

Credential questions
How can I verify your NJHIC license?
Go to njconsumeraffairs.gov, click "Verify a License," and search for license #13VH13970900. The lookup will return our business name, address, license status, and any disciplinary history. We're listed under Precision Windows & Glass at our Garfield address. This same process works for any NJ contractor — always verify before signing a contract.
What's a Certificate of Insurance (COI), and when should I ask for one?
A COI is a written verification of a contractor's insurance coverage that names your property and any additional parties (management company, condo board, lender). Always ask for a COI before any contractor starts work on your property. Reputable contractors issue them in 24 hours; if a contractor can't or won't provide one, they likely don't carry adequate coverage. Our COI lists $2M GL + NJ WC + auto liability + umbrella as applicable.
Are your installers W-2 employees or subcontractors?
Our lead installers and supervisors are W-2 employees with full benefits. On large-volume projects we may bring in trusted supplemental crews who carry their own insurance and have worked with us for years — we vet every supplemental crew and verify their NJHIC license and COI before they touch a project. We never use day-labor or uninsured workers.
Why does manufacturer-trained installation matter for warranty?
Most modern window manufacturer warranties (Andersen, Pella, Marvin, Provia) have specific installation requirements written into the warranty terms. If the install doesn't follow manufacturer spec (sill pan flashing, fastener pattern, perimeter sealant, etc.), the warranty can be voided on day one. Manufacturer-trained installers know the spec; untrained crews often skip steps they don't realize matter. We can show you the warranty language at the estimate.
What if something goes wrong with my installation?
Our workmanship warranty covers installation errors for the duration we specify in the contract (typically 5–10 years depending on scope). If you discover an issue — water intrusion, hardware misalignment, frame distortion — call us and we'll come out to assess. If it's our install error, we fix it at no cost. If it's a manufacturer defect, we coordinate the warranty claim with the manufacturer. Our $2M liability insurance also covers any incidental damage from our crew during the install.
