Drop off the sash or panel with the failed insulated-glass unit; we measure, fabricate a matching tempered unit, and you pick it up when it's ready.
Frosted & etched glass
Privacy glass for bath and office doors, partitions, and storefront lites — acid-etched or sandblasted to your pattern or logo, cut and finished in our shop.
Storefront & commercial glass
Tempered and safety glass for shops and offices — cut, tempered to order, and boarded same-day when an opening has to be secured first.
Hardware & parts
Common sliding-door rollers, sash balances, latches, and weatherstrip — bring the worn part in to match it.

We cut or fabricate it
Simple annealed glass cuts are often done while you wait. Tempered glass, laminated glass, and insulated (foggy-window) units are safety-fabricated to order — typically 2 to 5 business days — and held for pickup.

Before you come in
Is it really cheaper to bring it in?
Yes — and it's simple arithmetic, not a promotion. An on-site visit has to cover the drive, the truck, and a technician's time at your house. When you carry the screen or sash to the counter, none of that is on the ticket; you're paying for the glass or mesh and the work on it. You still get a firm price quoted before we cut anything.
I'm not local — is it worth the drive to Garfield?
For screens and cut-to-size glass, usually yes. We're right off Route 21 near the Garfield/Clifton line, a straightforward run from most of Bergen, Passaic, Essex, and Hudson, and people come from further out for custom cuts and odd sizes their local shop won't touch. Can I drop off a whole window sash or just the glass?
Either. Bring the entire sash and we'll take the failed pane out and glaze the new one in, which is the safest option if you're not comfortable removing glass. If you've already got the piece out, bring the glass or the frame and we'll match it. Screens can come in as the full screen or just the frame.
Do I need an appointment to come in?
No — the Garfield counter is walk-in, and we're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. For a large or custom job it helps to call ahead at (201) 275-9185 so we can have the right glass or mesh on hand, but you're welcome to just come by.
Can you cut glass while I wait?
