Mercer County combines three distinct window markets — Princeton's centuries-old university-adjacent historic stock (Nassau Street, Witherspoon, Hodge Road) with 1750s–1900s Federal, Greek Revival, and Italianate sash that's almost always worth restoring rather than replacing; Trenton's state-capital commercial and dense pre-1940 residential with original double-hung wood throughout; and Hamilton Township's high-volume 1950s–1990s suburban Colonial inventory with second-cycle vinyl/aluminum replacement work.

Princeton sash restoration is the highest-end work we do. Borough HPC review applies throughout most of the historic district — we restore original true-divided-light wood sash, replicate cope-and-stick muntin profiles when sash beyond restoration must be replaced, and add interior storm windows (Indow, Allied Window) to deliver modern thermal performance without altering the historic exterior appearance. A typical Princeton landmark restoration runs 6–10 weeks with phased scaffold rotation.

Trenton's 1900s–1940s rowhouse residential and state-government commercial both need full-replacement work. Most rowhouse windows in Trenton's older neighborhoods are original 1900s–1920s double-hung wood — beyond restoration at this point — and the cost-effective answer is vinyl or fiberglass replacement with grid inserts that respect the original aesthetic. Hamilton Township's 1950s–1990s suburban Colonials are high-volume vinyl/fiberglass replacement market. Each town has its own permit office; we coordinate directly.
