Passaic is one bridge crossing from our Garfield shop — the river forms the city's eastern border, crossed by six road bridges — and Main Avenue sits about ten minutes out. The median home dates to 1938 and over half the stock predates 1940, so most calls mean out-of-square frames, rope-and-pulley sash, and glazing patched for decades.
Detached single-family is roughly 15% of units; the rest is large apartment buildings and converted two- and three-families, so our work leans toward property managers and condo boards — IGU swaps down a whole elevation, common-area door glass — plus owner-occupied two-family jobs.

Installed a large center picture window with two flanking units on a Passaic home — maximizing the glass area and the view while sealing out drafts.
The center fixed lite carries the view; the flankers were set to match sightlines and trim. Fixed picture windows have no operating hardware to fail, so they hold their seal and insulation value longer than operable units — the right call for a big wall of glass. Fully flashed and insulated to NJ code, trimmed inside and out.
