Salem is one of the oldest English-speaking settlements on the Delaware Bay — founded by John Fenwick in 1675, it predates Philadelphia. The Salem County seat has only about 4,800 residents, but the housing stock includes Federal, Greek Revival, and Italianate houses from the 1700s and 1800s along Market and Broadway, plus the 1772 Salem Friends Meetinghouse and Alexander Grant House (1721) that anchor the historic district.
Our Salem work is almost entirely historic-restoration grade — replacing original wood sash with restoration-grade glass and putty glazing, repairing fanlights and sidelights on Federal-era entries, and matching original divided-light proportions on landmark homes. We coordinate with the Salem Historic Preservation Commission on visible exterior work.
